A wooden house, a meadow, a lot of sky

The house is single-storey and long. Its walls are clad in dark-stained boards, the roof is covered in anthracite tiles and the plinth is built of fieldstones. At one end of the building a taller gable carries a diamond ornament in the cladding.

The entrance sits under a porch roof on wooden posts. In front of it a paved area, a green front door, white-framed windows. All around lawn, mature deciduous trees and open field — in none of the available photographs is a neighbouring house in view.

Inside

Inside there is a living room with a leather sofa, armchairs and shelving on wooden boards, and a second sitting room with a beamed ceiling, terracotta tiles and a tiled masonry stove. There is also a dining room with a long table, a kitchen with a hob and oven, bedrooms with wooden beds, plus a bathroom and a guest WC with a shower.
